The Sky House
Overlooking the open valley with framed views of Sleeping Indian, The Sky House is a meditation on light, space, and material. Designed with Japanese and European influences, the 6,574-square-foot residence unfolds across 6.41 acres of native landscape, offering a quiet dialogue between architecture and nature. The interiors are wrapped in warm European oak and finished with Italian travertine, Madera wood ceilings, and hand-troweled plaster, each detail selected for its texture, tone, and sense of calm.
Guided by principles of restraint and rhythm, the layout flows between five ensuite bedrooms, a private guest wing, and a central living area anchored bysoft light and clean lines. Technological precision is woven discreetly throughout, while expansive windows and sliding doors invite the outdoors in. At once grounded and elevated, The Sky House embodies the rare kind of clarity that comes from living in harmony with place.

Privacy & Comfort
The guest wing offers complete privacy with a separate entrance, two bedrooms, an office, a sitting room, and a 1-car garage—perfect for hosting guests or accommodating long-term visitors with comfort and independence.
The Sky House marks the Jackson Hole debut of Belgian architect Dieter Vander Velpen, whose work is defined by precision, restraint, and sculptural detail.
Known for creating spaces that feel both timeless and highly personal, Vander Velpen brings a distinctly European sensibility to the American West.
His signature use of integrated lighting—subtly inlaid within stair handrails, bookshelves, and millwork—is more than a design flourish. It’s the foundational concept from which the entire home was imagined. Here, that detail becomes a quiet through line, guiding light, atmosphere, and experience from one space to the next.
